Eighth Annual Suke Strong Foundation
Golf Tournament and Dinner Auction

Suke Strong

Good morning,

Wow. This one is exceptionally difficult. On the eve of what would be our mom's 71st birthday and just shy of the two year anniversary of her passing, it is remarkable to reflect on how much has happened since we lost her. In the midst of a global pandemic coupled with heightened racial awareness both of which are pulling at our heart strings and challenging us physically, emotionally and mentally, it is hard not to wonder what our mom would be thinking right now. To quote a friend, "If I could hear her rightly, and often times, I think I do," I believe she would be saying, "You got this... because you really have no other choice." She would lean her head to one side and gently remind us to be true to ourselves, respect the dignity of all people at all times and, above all, be kind. She would also 100% tell us to take our temperature and wear a mask.

Realistically, she would probably be as conflicted as I am about sending a golf tournament email in the midst of seemingly more serious topics. However, in the spirit of kindness and mutual respect and dedicated to her platform of helping others with neuromuscular diseases, we are hopeful that you will choose to join us again on September 19 for our 8th Annual Suke Strong Golf Tournament and Silent Auction at Bogey Hills. The course is fully operational and our plan is to proceed as normal with golfers tee'ing off midday followed by a silent auction and dinner that evening. We will keep everyone up to date on any modifications if they are warranted as we approach the event. You can find the registration forms attached to this email.

We understand that everyone faces their own personal challenges each year, but potentially more acutely in 2020. We continue to be grateful and humbled by your support but never expect it.

Be well.
